Review by hotel critic
If you’re looking for a getaway that balances charm with a touch of history, Petwood is worth considering. My recent stay proved to be quite the pleasant experience, particularly when evaluating its value against the luxury it offers. The room was spacious and equipped with comfortable amenities like an electric kettle, allowing for a cozy cup of tea before bed. I appreciated the stocked refreshment tray, which included complimentary biscuits – a nice touch! As a travel consultant, I often consider the overall experience, and this hotel didn’t disappoint. The breakfast selection was extensive and of high quality, and I also enjoyed a relaxing evening at the bar area, where the drink selection stood out. Running alongside its historical ties—especially with RAF memorabilia—the gardens were beautifully maintained, providing an inviting setting for leisurely strolls. While each stay comes with a price tag, Petwood appears to strike a balance between comfort and value, making it a contender for those seeking a memorable experience without overspending. That said, it’s a place I could recommend for both budget-conscious travelers and those looking to indulge.
